WHY THIS EXISTS.

I started Cars We Keep because I kept reading the same article. Different car, same shape: a spec sheet, three paragraphs of history, a paragraph about values, and a line at the end about how you should buy one before prices go up. If you’ve read one, you’ve read them all.

This is the opposite of that.

| WHAT EVERY ISSUE DOES

ONE BELOVED CAR. EVERY TWO WEEKS.

Every two weeks, I publish one long story about one car. Not the newest car, and not the most expensive one. The cars that made us enthusiasts in the first place, and the reason they still matter now that they are older, slower, and more analog than anything on a dealer lot.

Each issue asks one question and spends the whole piece answering it. To get there, I go looking for the people who built the car, the engineering decisions and why they were made, what the road tests said before nostalgia formed, what it is like to own one today, and the details that even long-time owners might not know. Facts get checked. Opinions are mine, and I write them as opinions.

| WHAT THIS IS NOT

Cars We Keep is not: a buyer's guide, a news site, a place for press-release rewrites, or a list of ten things. There is no paywall at launch and no sponsor telling me which car to like.

| WHO WRITES IT

I'm Kevin Bubar. By day I'm a CPA. By nights and weekends I'm the person who reads the owner's forums and the test drive articles. This publication is the excuse to do that properly.

Great cars. Better stories.
